Have a little faith by Mitch Albom
In this heart warming book, the author is asked by his childhood rabbi to do his eulogy. Since Mitch hasn't seen the rabbi in such a long time, he wants to get to know him again. Mitch often goes to visit him so that Mitch knows exactly what to say when the time comes. Every time they meet Mitch learns more and more about the rabbi which he calls "Reb". In time they become very close. Through rough medical times for the "Reb" Mitch got more and more worried about what to say at his eulogy. The rabbi always knew the right thing to say. When Mitch asked the rabbi what people feared most about death he replied "being forgotten". Throughout the book Mitch also talks about Henry who started out as a druggy and later decided to turn to Jesus. Throughout the book the two figures really change Mitch's persective of people. I really recommend this book. Mitch Albom is a great author and the book really made me think about life too. It is fairly short, but its very meaningful.

I Am Number Four By Pittacus Lore

Amazing, fantastic, and suspenseful are some words you you can use to describe this book! This was one of the best books I have ever read! Might not think this book is for you? Think again! This book offers many different genres such as action, suspense, and romance. For all you guys and girls out there that like suspense, this book will keep you up all night and even sneaking the book under your desk during class when your not supposed to be reading. This book also contains romance and action. Romance + action= Raction! Kind of like The Hunger Games, this book can keep up a fast pace with a lot of fighting but also has time for some kissing scenes. I must say that John Smith, the main character, and Sarah Hart, his girlfriend, make a very good couple and it completes the book. I think this book has something for everyone! It truly is out of this world! Also, check out the movie coming out 2/18/11 and the next book, The Power of Six, coming out 8/23/11!

English Class January 3rd through 7th
This week in English Class we started with a BANG! (bang is an example of onamonapia)
The week began with a poetry intro. Then we took some notes on literary terms, and we found the terms in different examples of poetry. Finally the week ended with some practice for our EXPLORE TEST. Now we are all prepared for what ever that test can dish out!
