Op center: Games of State by Tom Clancy

This book is about a team of spys that go to work one day and find that a hate game was loaded on there computers at work. That is where the story starts to get exciting. They have to chase the creator of this game all the way around the world and catch him. I would give this book a 10 out of 10 because it kept me reading until the last page. I would also recommend this book for people who like adventure because they travel all over Europe.

Elsewhere by gabrielle zevin

I read the book Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin.i really enjoyed it, it lacked adventure. It picked up later in the book, and became more exciting.I would recommend this book for everyone, it's not a religious book at all.But it may seem that way, because she's dealing with her death and the after life. The main character was a 15 year old girl named Liz that had dies. And is learning how to cope with her life now.I was able to relate to Liz in someways and understand where she was coming from in different aspects of her life.I think everyone would enjoy this book, all around i would rate it a 8 out of 10.

Book Talk

I have read the book Messed Up by Janet Nichols Lynch. It was basically about a 15 year old boy named R.D. This story tells about R.D.'s last year at Buzz Middle School. In the late beginning, early middle part of the book R.D.'s grandpa dies. He has to live on his own and somehow avoid getting sent to a foster home. I would recommend this book to anybody. There is a little bit of romance, action and adventure. i would rate this book a 4.5 out of 5 because the author was very realistic in this sense. Also she made it easy to understand with no big words along the way.

Little Brother

I read the book Little Brother by Cory Docktrow. This book takes place in San Francisco California. In the story, the author tells a story about a high schooler who lives in the furtre. The part that I found intresting was the fact that it wasn't too far into the future. Docktrow combinded technology that we all use with a futureistic spin. The main character Markus Yallow faces several external and internal problams such as romance and saving his friends. In my opinion, this book is a good one for anyone over the age of 13. Although there is some romance in the book, the action will keep readers glued to the book. Over all I would give this book a 9.5 out of 10 stars. If you are intrested in reading this book, you can download it for free at craphound.com/littlebrother.

Raiders Night by Robert Lipsyte

I read the book Raiders Night by Robert Lipsyte. The book was about a boy named Matt Rydek who was a co-captain of his high school football team at nearmont. But in the book his teamates have a serious problem. Most of the team takes steriods. The main story of this book is when the team goes to a 5 day mini camp to get ready for their upcoming season. During the camp one of the players named Ramp pulls a prank on a freshman. Matt notices that none of the coaches or parents took action when they found out that it happened. So matt has to make a choice. either keep quite and stay loyal to his team, or do the right thing and tell someone what happened. I would reccomend this book to whoever likes football.
The Deadly Sister By: Eliot Schrefer This book was a romance-mystery. It was about a girl named Abby Goodwin and her sister Maya Goodwin. Maya was a girl who was a high school drop-out stoner. She always got into trouble but Abby was always there to back her sister up and to have her back. When Maya's tutor that she's obsessed with is found dead, every possible clue of her being the murderer was there. Maya ends up running away so she won't get caught up with the whole situation. I recommend this book for anyone who's intreged by mystery and romance. It was a really good page-turner that i couldn't seem to put down. Do you think Abby can get Maya out of this one?

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring: Book One: By J.R.R. Tolkien

For my independant reading book I read The Fellowship of the Ring. Since you all probably have already seen the movie, so I will try to make this short. Essentially it is about a powerful ring made by elves and it was found by Bilbo Baggins in the first book(The Hobbit) and when Bilbo, in the beginning of the book, decided to take a trip and couldn't bring the ring with him so passed the ring down to Frodo. Frodo has to travel all across the known world to destroy it in case it got into the wrong hands(goblins, orcs, and other mystical beings). This trip takes a period of three books. I have only read the first one so far and I thought it was very good. Out of ten I would have rated it an 8 because even though it was slow in the beginning it gradually got more exciting. This book is for anyone, there isn't any romance but it is all adventure and adventure, I think, is for anyone.
